"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."  Hebrews 11:6

To my handful of faithful readers I want to thank you for your patience. The website was shut down for almost 24 hours for some maintenance so I was unable to post. But, I'm back!

I remain intrigued by this great verse.

Do you consider yourself a person of faith? How would you know?

May I offer some perspective on that question?

If you are a person of faith you will have a desire to please God. What does that mean? It means that pleasing God is more important that doing what pleases others or what pleases you. Ultimately, pleasing God IS what pleases you!

Are you a people pleaser? If you have to please people you will find it difficult to please God. If you hang out with godly people it will be easier for you because they will encourage you to please Him. However, if the folks you are spending time with make it more difficult for you to please God you may need some new friends.

What are you willing to do to please God? What are you willing to give up to please God? Those are crucial questions for people who want to please God.

There are only two ways you can spend your life - pleasing God or displeasing Him. There is an eternal difference between those two decisions.

What have you done today to please God? How have you displeased Him? Did pleasing Him please you?

A person of faith knows those answers.
